THE STARTING POINT

The idea behind it.

Make Morse code feel approachable through a tactile, editorial interface that you can read and hear.

THE CHALLENGE

A translator is easy to build; making the signal itself understandable and inviting takes more considered interaction design.

THE APPROACH

Separate the visual language from the other tools: warm paper, terracotta and violet accents, with adjustable playback pace and tone.

02

WHAT WENT INTO IT

Built with intention.

01 / FEATURE

Two-way translation

Type text or Morse and convert immediately, with visibly marked unsupported characters.

02 / FEATURE

Hear the code

Web Audio oscillator playback with adjustable words-per-minute speed and frequency.

03 / FEATURE

Explore quick signals

Presets like SOS and HELLO WORLD let visitors understand Morse without setup.

04 / FEATURE

Reference and export

Copy, text download and an A–Z / 0–9 codebook make the tool useful beyond the first visit.
